The Monsters of The Polder

An illustrated children's book based on the fables of 'The Bilabuck' a monster that lives in the polders. The Bilabuck was a fable created by adults to keep their children away from the polder's canals so that they do not wander about unattended; for the parents feared that their child would drown. Each monster is created through conversations had with people that live surrounded by the polders as part of their landscape. These tales attempt to materialise their different versions, accounts and myths into children's tales.
